Deutsche Bank: Bank of Horror

45 million US dollars for coal, oil and gas – every day! Join us now in demanding: Get out of fossil fuel expansion!

Deutsche Bank continues to finance climate destruction. It does business with 22 of the 30 most climate-damaging companies in the world. Between 2016 and 2023, it supported fossil fuel companies with an average of over $45 million per day. This money enables new oil and gas wells, new coal mines and new gas-fired power plants. The bank is not only working against the Paris Climate Agreement – it is even trampling its own climate pledge.

No other German bank contributes more to the climate crisis than Deutsche Bank. In 2023, it was the world's largest financier of the oil company BP, which is searching for new oil and gas fields around the globe. We call on Deutsche Bank to stop financing such companies immediately. Help us with this!

Tag des Grauens in München

Day of horror: 21 cities, one message: Get out of fossil fuel expansion.

Heatwaves, droughts, storms and floods: while the climate crisis escalates into a catastrophe, Deutsche Bank continues to fan the flames with its fossil fuel businesses. That's why we joined forces with supporters in 21 German cities to send out a strong message on Halloween. Under the motto #BankdesGrauens (Bank of Horror), we staged creative protests in front of Deutsche Bank branches to highlight just how horrific the bank's fossil fuel business model is.

Sponsor of horror

By promoting sports and culture, Deutsche Bank is trying to brush up its philanthropic image – for example as a sponsor of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. But do concert-goers know how much dirty business the bank does to earn its money? We shed light on this, hold talks with the Philharmonic and call for an end to this PR strategy!
