Donations for Personal Occasions

Birthday, wedding, anniversary – there are many reasons to celebrate. Often we don’t know what to wish for on special occasions. Ask your guests for donations instead of gifts. With this private fundraising campaign, you protect the environment and human rights and strengthen our work in a special way: you support Urgewald financially and raise awareness about our work among your friends.

if you would like to ask your guests for “donations instead of gifts” in support of Urgewald. This way we know that incoming donations are a gift to you. We are happy to support you with informational materials or wire transfer forms.

How to Ask for “Donations Instead of Gifts” at Your Celebration:

Direct Donation Appeal

In your invitation, ask for donations to Urgewald, mentioning the donation keyword we agreed on, such as “Christian turns 50”, and the Urgewald donation account number. After your celebration, we will send you a list of donors with an overview of the total amount received. We will of course also thank your guests and mail them donation receipts.

Collective Donation

You collect donations for a good cause during your celebration and transfer the total amount to our donation account. If you include a list of names, addresses, and donation amounts, we will gladly issue donation receipts and mail them to your guests.

If you have any questions or individual requests, we are happy to assist you.

Donations in the Event of Bereavement

The death of a loved one is a painful loss for those left behind. Especially in such situations, relatives often feel the need to set a positive, forward-looking sign. Many ask for donations in memory of the deceased instead of wreaths and flowers. This gesture often also fulfills a final wish of the deceased.

If you would like to ask for donations to Urgewald, it is best to mention this already in the obituary. Please include the bank details below and a keyword related to the occasion, such as “In memory of [name of the deceased].” Please inform us by phone or email of the name of the deceased, the selected keyword, and your contact details.
