Displacement instead of development - the revision of protection standards in the ADB
The Asian Development Bank (ADB), chaired by Japan, is currently revising its environmental and social standards. Urgewald has been involved in the consultations since 2022, and the revised safeguard standards will be adopted in June 2023. This submission focusses on involuntary resettlement.
