We follow strict criteria and ensure that our investments meet high ethical, ecological and social standards. We exclude companies and projects from our investments if they pursue ethically and ecologically questionable business practices.
Among other things, this means consistently excluding investments in fossil fuels, nuclear power and arms manufacturing as well as companies that disregard labor and human rights or environmental and social standards.
Due to our many years of experience working with financial institutions and forestry/plantations and wood processing companies, we also exclude the majority of companies from these sectors from our investments.
Urgewald prefers to invest in renewable energies, sustainable mobility, organic agriculture and natural food, energy efficiency, environmental technology, recycling, education and health.
With our investments, we want to work towards urgently needed political, ecological and social changes in our society. In this way, the investment directly serves the purposes of our Foundation.
