On the 24th of February 2022, the Russian army launched an attack on Ukraine in violation of international law. Since then, we have been horrified by the suffering of the people in Ukraine. After the invasion, the German chancellor Olf Scholz spoke of a “turning point in the history of our continent”. The political consequences so far include a change in the defense policy of Germany and the EU with extensive arms deliveries and massive rearmament plans. These measures confront the peace movement with new challenges. How can we overcome the current status of shock? How can Germany and the EU support Ukraine in the most effective way as to end the war as quickly as possible? We want to discuss these and other questions as a way to provide impulses for a more comprehensive public debate.

We look forward to the discussion with you and our panel guests.
