Aruna studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics before beginning her career at the Australian Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. She later moved to Berlin, where she worked in the non-profit sector on digital rights and platform regulation. After beginning a master's degree in Human Rights at the Hertie School, she decided to terminate her studies to gain practical experience at Urgewald. She plans to continue studying next year, specializing in welfare economics, inequality, and degrowth.
