Merete has been supporting the urgewald team in the area of multilateral financial institutions since 2024. Her interest in a more sustainable and socially responsible economic system led her to study Politics and Economics at the bachelor’s level and ultimately brought her to urgewald. Through stays in Malaysia, China and Mexico, she gained many new experiences and perspectives. Before joining the team, she completed a master’s degree in Public Policy with a focus on development cooperation and economic policy.
In her free time, Merete enjoys diving into the world of (acrobatic) yoga, exploring the streets of Berlin on foot or on a run, and is always up for any kind of games and activities.
